Online CPR Course – HLTAID009
Our ONLINE CPR COURSE option allows the flexibility to complete your CPR Refresher course from home, work or on remote location.
HLTAID009- Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation is the most current nationally recognized, and industry accredited CPR qualification.
CPR certification is required to be updated or renewed every 12 months.
The First Aid Oz online CPR courses requires the student to:
- view instructional CPR videos,
- read learning materials
- complete a theory assessment quiz,
- complete a practical assessment & submit video
Rest assured if you choose to complete your Online CPR Refresher, you will cover all the same content as those who come to class.
For those who choose the CPR online option with First Aid Oz, it would be ideal if you had access to a mannikin (or a volunteer), to be able to perform or simulate the CPR process, giving very clear explanations in your assessment video.
Face to face classes are always the preferred and recommended option for First Aid & CPR training and assessment, please select your course option carefully.
There are no refunds once online course materials are made available.
Where videos are submitted during regular business hours, we guarantee same day CPR certification.
Once registered, you will be sent login details via email to access your Online learning portal within 24 hours, along with further instructions on how to complete the CPR Refresher Online.
In this unit, students will learn to :
1. Respond to an emergency situation
Recognise and assess an emergency situation.
Ensure safety for self, bystanders and casualty.
Assess the casualty and recognise the need for cardiopulmonary resuscitation
Seek assistance from emergency response services
2. Perform CPR procedures
Perform CPR in accordance with ARC guidelines
Display respectful behaviour towards casualty
Operate automated external defibrillator (AED) according to manufacturer’s instructions
3. Communicate details of the incident
Accurately convey incident details to emergency response services
Report details of incident in line with appropriate workplace or site procedures.
Maintain confidentiality of records and information in line with statutory or organizational policies
4. Review the incident.
Recognise the possible psychological impacts on self and other rescuers and seek help when required.
Contribute to a review of the first aid response as required.
